If your design work doesn’t fall within one of the packages then I charge £35 per hour. You’ll get an estimate before work commences, upon receipt of a full and clear brief. I’ll let you know if we’re going over your planned time period so that you don’t run into any unexpected costs.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT?
A contract will be issued for all logo design work, to make sure you get everything as agreed. Other design jobs do not require a contract.
CAN I PAY IN INSTALMENTS?
The first payment is a deposit of £50, then the rest of the payment will be due once the job has been completed and you have signed off the design. Once payment is received all design files will be sent to you either via email or WeTransfer. Payment plans can be arranged but final design files will only be sent once paid in full.
DO YOU ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS?
The internet is a wonderful thing that allows me to send digital files all over the world, plus I love feeling like an international superstar designer. So that’s a yes!

WHAT DOES PROJECT START DATE MEAN?
This is when I will fully begin the design work, before then I will be getting you to create a moodboard on Pinterest and fill out a questionnaire. On average a logo design takes up to 6 weeks but can be quicker/slower depending on the pace you’d like to work at. I appreciate that running your own business can throw up some unexpected busy periods, so I can take that into consideration and pause the process if it helps give you the time to think through everything with a clear head rather than rushing it.
ARE DEPOSITS REFUNDABLE?
Your deposit secures your place in my design queue and ensures you are serious about moving forward with our project. I often turn other clients away once I have committed my time to a job, so for this reason your deposit is non-refundable.
WHEN MUST I PAY BY
All invoices must be paid within 30 days of the invoice being sent out.
DO YOU HAVE A KILL FEE?
Yes. Your deposit will be kept and up to 25% of the final invoice will be charged if work has begun. Should you pay your deposit and change your mind before any work has started then there will be no extra charges.
HOW LONG ARE QUOTES VALID FOR?
A quote will be valid for up to 30 days. After that time period the price of the quote may have changed due to various factors.
CAN I MAKE ALTERATIONS AFTER I HAVE PAID AND RECEIVED MY FILES?
Sure, but this will be at an extra cost. Alterations are charged at £35 per hour, although my intention is to have you happy as larry with your logo before I invoice.
DO I NEED A COMPLETE REDESIGN?
My branding review is the perfect way to find out if you need a complete branding overhaul or a little rejig. This review offers a genuine opinion on your current branding. These are based on your target market, the psychology behind the colours and fonts you use, and how your current branding is working towards your objectives. If the results come back that a rebrand is needed, that £50 from your review can be used towards your final logo design and branding cost.
DO I NEED A BRIEF READY BEFORE BOOKING?
No, this will all be covered during the brand discovery design process. I have a clever questionnaire I get you to fill out to find out what makes you and your business tick. We also make some moodboards/pinboards and during this time we put together a brief. This all takes place before I do any design work to make sure we’re both on the same page and no design time is spent on a direction with doesn’t sit your aims and objectives.
WHAT FORMAT WILL I RECEIVE MY FINAL LOGOS IN?
I will send you a package via email, dropbox or wetransfer depending on what you prefer. The files you receive will be;
PSD files are not included within logo packs but Photoshop can open all of the above without a problem!
HOW MANY DESIGNS WILL I RECEIVE?
I create three rounds of designs, this is how the magic happens…
Round one: This is the experimental round, based on the brand discovery process we have been through whilst working through your questionnaire and mood boards, I create three sets of logos in three different design directions. From this stage you select elements that you do like, for example colour, fonts, vibe and from there I go away and do some more tinkering.
Round Two: From the feedback on round one, I go away and work more on the designs that rocked your world, and work the concept further. At this stage logos designs will be further along and looking much more finished. You then choose the logo that floats your boat and I work it up to a finished standard.
Round Three:
This is your final logo design, there’s still time to do a few tweaks here and there, but by now we should be pretty much settled on the perfect logo for you and your business.
WHAT DO YOU USE TO CREATE MY LOGO?
I design all logos in illustrator and Indesign, nothing is created in photoshop so I cannot ever supply layered photoshop files.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T LIKE ANY OF THE DESIGNS?
If the briefing period has been followed properly and you have given me the correct information about your business, then it is very unusual for you like nothing at all. You will be given three directions for a logo design and in the first round is your opportunity to select things you like and dislike and areas you want me to investigate further/
ARE FONTS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND CAN I USE A SPECIFIC FONT IN MY DESIGN?
Fonts are not included in the cost unless I am using a font I already own the licence to. If you want a completely new font then this will be an extra cost. I use fonts which are available as a desktop and web version meaning you can use it on your website. Using new fonts means you are getting a bespoke and unique logo you can’t find anywhere else, but I try and offer font selections which are affordable. If you are sticking to a tight budget then google fonts are available to use and are free.
I haven’t got a problem with using a specific font, although if I personally feel that it does not work with the direction you want your business to move in then I will make my feelings clear and recommend others. Also something else to consider is font licences, I will not be able to design with any font that you do not own a licence to.
WILL I OWN MY LOGO?
Yes of course. As soon as the work has been paid for and the files sent they are then yours. You’re welcome to register the logo as a trademark too. I will use examples of you logo design in my social media and my portfolio although I don’t do a before and after compare.
WHAT PRINTED DESIGN WORK CAN YOU DO?
I can create everything necessary for your marketing material

Signage and stickers for commercial vehicles

CAN I PRINT THE WORK MYSELF?
I prefer not to offer this as if you use an inferior printer the results may not end up looking how we discussed and this will be completely out of my control. I can send you a print ready file, but if there are any printing or finishing issues encountered I cannot be responsible for.
DO YOU PRINT THE THINGS YOURSELF?
Everything is printed at a professional printers I have used for years. We can look at high-end printing solutions if budget allows, or if you have a tighter budget I can offer lots of options that look the biz but don’t cost the earth.
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE FINAL FINISHED PRODUCT? DO YOU DO REFUNDS?
Refunds are only issued on the items that do not match the final proofs as approved by you. This does not include colour matching.
ARE STOCK IMAGES INCLUDED WITHIN YOUR FEES?
No, but if this is something that interests you I can include picture research and give you costs for images suitable for your project.
CAN I SEE A PRINTED EXAMPLE BEFORE I APPROVE THE FINAL ITEM?
I’m afraid not, some printers will supply printed mock-ups but they are very expensive. What I can do is send paper samples and examples of previous jobs which are similar to what you want to achieve.
I’VE NOTICED A MISTAKE, WHAT DO I DO?
You have two rounds of designs to make any corrections, after that all proof checking is yours (the clients) responsibility so any re-prints will incur full re-printing charges.
CAN YOU DESIGN IT IN WORD SO I CAN EDIT IT MYSELF?
Everything is created in Indesign or Illustrator, so I will never be able to provide a word document.
